BankEase Internet Banking Has Changed!
Your security is our top priority! As a BankEase Internet Customer you will have a new way to reduce fraud and identity theft with the launch of our new security features for our BankEase Internet Banking system (Our new security features will be available on March 1, 2007). Our new security features help confirm your identification when signing onto our online banking service through a two-way authentication process.
The process is simple. When you sign up for these new enhanced security features you will simply pick an image from a large collection of graphics and pictures, write a brief phrase unique to you, and provide the answers to three challenge questions. That is it!
Signing up for our new security features takes just a few minutes. The image you select along with the personal phrase you entered and the challenge questions you answered, work together to help:
Protect Your Accounts – When somebody tries to access an account from an unrecognized computer (BankEase remembers the computer that you normally use), they must answer one of your challenge questions correctly. So, even if your login ID and password have been stolen through spyware, a phony web site, or even from your own handwritten notes, the thief would be required to properly answer a challenge question to gain access to your account, thus preventing the thief from accessing your personal account information.
Confirm the Web Site's validity – Once you enter your login ID and click the submit button, you will see your secret image and phrase. If the image and phrase do not appear or if the wrong image and/or phrase appears, you could be at a fraudulent site. If so, close your Internet browser and try again.
Your banking is even more secure than paper based banking when you bank online with Bank of Kirksville. When you use online banking you can detect fraud earlier when you review your account activity regularly, rather than waiting for a monthly statement in the mail.
Your enhanced security features will begin on March 1st, 2007 when you login to our online banking at www.bankofkirksville.com. When you sign onto the BankEase Internet Banking system the program will walk you through the sign up process using simple to follow on-screen instructions to setup your phrase and challenge questions.
